SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships of various categories are awarded by the State and Central Governments on the basis of income of parents as well as the merit of applicants. Details can be had from the office.

Notice: Any scholarships or fee remission may be cancelled by the College Council at any time for unsatisfactory conduct or if the student does not maintain the expected academic standard.

Social Service League & W.U.S

  • The Social Service League and World University Service League of the College devote their attention to the welfare and development of students and the surrounding community.

Students' Aid Fund

  • Each student is required to pay ₹3 every academic year at the time of admission. This contribution is voluntary and non-refundable. The collected amount, along with government grants, is deposited in a separate bank account operated by the Principal.
  • The objective of the fund is to provide financial assistance to poor and deserving students for tuition fees, examination fees, books, and other essential expenses. Limited assistance may also be offered for hostel mess, clothing, or medical needs if considered genuine. Interest-free loans up to 50% may also be granted. No scholarship or stipend is given from this fund.
  • Assistance may be cancelled or forfeited for misconduct, irregular attendance, or failure to make satisfactory progress. The fund cannot be used for giving prizes or rewards. Any unspent balance may be carried forward to the following year.
  • The Students Aid Fund Committee determines the quantum of assistance. The committee consists of the Principal as Ex-officio Chairman, one teaching faculty member, and one student member, nominated by the Principal.
  • The Principal is empowered to frame, alter, or supplement rules as required by the University Grants Commission. Contributions by the Management Council are not permissible, though individual committee members may contribute personally if they wish.
  • Accounts of the Students’ Aid Fund shall be audited by a qualified Chartered Accountant, and audit fees or related expenditure will not be met from the fund.
